Information for referees

How to provide a reference:

  • Use letter-headed paper.
  • Ensure you include your name, your position and the date.
  • Save your reference as a Word document or a PDF file.
  • Save the document, using the following naming convention, and avoid spaces and punctuation characters, e.g. commas SurnameForenameProgramme (e.g. HopgoodJamesPhDEngineering3Years)
  • Click the link provided in the reference request email to start the upload process.
  • Click the 'Browse' button - this will allow you to select the reference from your local drive(s).
  • Click 'Upload' to submit the document directly to the application.
